Siding and wood repair services

Siding repair. We replace damaged, cracked or rotted sections of siding, including wood siding, instead of re-siding the whole house when that is all the house needs. Sections that are warped, split or soft are the usual targets.

Siding installation. We install new siding on homes and additions. Before we quote it, we look at the wall, the trim and the roofline, so the new siding meets the roof edge cleanly and water has a way out. The written proposal spells out the scope.

Wood repair and dry rot repair. Wood at the fascia, eaves, trim and other exterior spots rots when it stays wet. We cut out the damaged wood, replace it, and look for the reason it was wet.

Where roof and siding meet

Wall damage near the roofline often starts with the roof. Water that gets past flashing or overflows a gutter soaks the fascia and the top of the wall. If we patch the wood and leave the cause alone, the patch will rot too.

You call and describe the damage. We come out for a free on-site estimate and look at how far the damage goes, including behind the surface, where rot tends to spread past what you can see. You get a written proposal by email with the scope and price. Where the work needs a permit, Golden Sky pulls it and adds the cost to the estimate.
